Cities are the habitat we build for ourselves to ensure we not only survive, but thrive. They are only as good as we make them. Which means we have a responsibility to be the best citizens we can be – so they serve us well in return.
Our approach to the work we do is the ‘Nestworks’. At its heart are three principles:
- Aim for a destination
- Embark on a learning journey to move in that direction
- Expect the unknown to emerge along the way
Improvements to our city life take place when we choose a direction, choose to learn along the way, and choose to shift and adjust with changing conditions.
Do you think of your city as your habitat?
Do you think of yourself as a habitat-maker?
